Ramtech Devices Achieve Full Compliance with PSTI Regulations 2023

Ramtech devices are now compliant with the Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) Regulations 2023.

Ramtech is a leading provider of innovative wireless safety solutions, specialising in advanced fire and security systems. Our dedication to mitigating cybersecurity risks ensures that our products offer the highest levels of safety and protection for our customers. Partners and distributors can rest assured that Ramtech devices fully comply with the latest local regulations, providing peace of mind and security.

In line with these commitments, we are pleased to confirm that Ramtech devices are compliant with the Product Security and Telecommunications Infrastructure (PSTI) Regulations 2023. These new standards for consumer connectable product security came into effect on April 29, 2024, in the UK, and we are ready for the changes.

New Security Requirements

The PSTI Act 2022 and Regulations 2023 represent a positive step towards enhancing user cybersecurity. The regulations outline specific requirements for manufacturers to follow for relevant connectable products:

  • Passwords: Passwords must be unique per product, or a user should be able to define them. For instance, our REACT cloud platform requires individual user logins, emails, and passwords for secure, role-specific access and an audit trail of user activity. WES3 Connect is also pin-protected and prompts users to change the default password during setup.
  • Security Updates: Manufacturers are mandated to disclose the minimum period for security updates. At Ramtech, we understand the importance of supporting our products in life-safety environments. We commit to supporting our products in the UK for five years, where practicable, ensuring a solid return on investment for our customers and partners.
  • Vulnerability Reporting: The regulations require manufacturers to provide a means to report vulnerabilities in their products and share information about how they are resolved. Customers can report vulnerabilities through our Customer Experience team at wes@ramtechglobal.com or by calling the phone number provided on our contact page.

Products Covered

Our compliance extends to the following products and systems:

  • WES3: This includes WES3 Connect, the WES Tablet application, and all other devices in the WES3 product portfolio. View Product Page.
  • REACT: This encompasses the REACT cloud platform and the REACT mobile application. View Product Page.
