Ramtech’s efforts at the Olympic Games 2024
Ramtech’s WES3 wireless fire system has played a crucial role in maintaining fire safety during the construction of three projects: the Olympic and Paralympic Village, the Adidas Arena and the Aquatics Centre. The Olympic and Paralympic Village was inaugurated on February 29th of this year and will host athletes during the Paris 2024 Games. During construction, Ramtech’s WES3 wireless fire alarm system played a crucial role in ensuring early fire detection and swift response, safeguarding both workers and the site. The system’s wireless capabilities provided the flexibility needed for the evolving construction environment. By enhancing fire safety, WES3 helped prevent potential incidents and contributed to meeting project deadlines, with continuous 24/7 monitoring.
The Adidas Arena is a cultural and sports facility built for the Olympic and Paralympic Games. Located north of Paris, near Porte de la Chapelle, it was designed to host badminton, para-badminton, rhythmic gymnastics and para-lifting events. The construction of the arena, which emphasised sustainability through the use of recycled materials and extensive vegetation, was supported by WES3’s eco-friendly, wireless fire alarm system. This system provided essential fire protection during the construction phase, safeguarding workers and ensuring the project’s progress was not hindered. Additionally, WES3’s features aligned with the arena’s sustainability objectives, integrating robust safety measures with the environmental goals of the project.
Finally the Aquatics Centre, capable of hosting 6,000 spectators, will host water polo, diving, and synchronised swimming competitions, before being transformed into a boccia stadium for the Paralympics. It will also serve the local and national swimming community post-Games. The construction phase, focused on sustainability with bio-based materials and solar energy infrastructure, was safeguarded by the WES3 fire alarm system. Its modular design required a flexible safety solution, which WES3 provided.
