FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to the most common questions about Ramtech’s REACT and WES wireless emergency systems. Learn about features, compatibility, installation and how these innovative safety solutions can protect your site.
For all WES3 units, hold down the A button and press the B button 3 times to turn them on. All units except the Connect unit turn off using the same method. For the Connect, navigate to the settings menu, and select shut down.
On the Connect navigate to unit numbering. Tyoe in the number that you want to assign to the unit you are about to pair. Switch on unit you wish to pair and place it next to or near to the Connect. Press and hold ‘A’ on both units at the same time. The lights on both units will change from amber to green to indicate the unit has been successfully paired.
Doing a hard alarm test is not the recommended way to test the WES3 system. On the Connect unit, navigate to the ‘Silent Test’ option in the Menu. Once activated, inspect each unit paired into the system. A sloid green light on the paired units means they are fully functioning.
Navigate to the alert logs within the Connect unit. There will be details of all alerts from the system. Maintenance alerts are signified by ” During a silent test, issues with units are signified by 1 flash of the red light, followed by flashes of the amber light. The number of amber flashes indicate the issue or fault. Refer to the WES3 User Manual to find out what each number of amber flashes mean.
The most common reason you are unable to pair a fully functional unit with the Connect is that you are trying to pair an older model. Check the label on the back of the unit you are trying to pair. If it says anything other than W3 it is an older model, which you will not be able to pair. If you are still facing issues, contact our Customer Experience team.
