Ramtech Celebrates Sponsorship of Local All-Girls Football Team

Priory Celtic FC’s U14's Girls football team is excited to kick off the season with a fresh new kit, thanks to sponsorship from local business, Ramtech. The new kit comes at a crucial time as the team continues to build on their success in the Notts Women's Sunday League.

New Kits, New Season, New Goals!

Priory Celtic FC, a staple in the Kimberley community since 1967, has grown to include over 40 teams, with more than 10 female squads offering opportunities for young girls to develop their skills and passion for football. The U14’s Girls team, with 18 committed players, has earned back-to-back promotions over the past two seasons and now has a new look to match their ambitions.

“We’re incredibly excited to partner with this talented group of young players,” said Charné Prentice, Marketing Manager at Ramtech. “At Ramtech, we believe in empowering the next generation, and this sponsorship is a way for us to invest in the local community while supporting the growth of women’s football. These young athletes are an inspiration, and we’re proud to be part of their journey.”

Having Ramtech’s backing is a huge boost for us, It’s not just about the financial support; it’s about knowing that a local company sees the value in what we’re doing and believes in our girls. Their support motivates us all to push harder and aim higher.

Nick Old - Team Coach

Managed by a dedicated group of parent volunteers, the U14’s Girls team represents the heart of grassroots football. Volunteers not only coach the players but also handle the administrative work behind the scenes, ensuring the girls are prepared for their weekly Friday night training sessions and Sunday morning matches, which take place across Nottinghamshire and the East Midlands.

Women’s football has seen tremendous growth in recent years, but many grassroots teams still face challenges in securing the financial resources needed to thrive. Two seasons ago, Priory Celtic U14’s Girls raised funds through raffles and community events to purchase their first-ever new kits, a moment that strengthened team spirit and performance.

“Having Ramtech’s backing is a huge boost for us,” said Nick Old, team coach. “It’s not just about the financial support; it’s about knowing that a local company sees the value in what we’re doing and believes in our girls. Their support motivates us all to push harder and aim higher.”

The sponsorship covers the new kit, ensuring that the players can concentrate on what they do best: playing great football. As the season progresses, the team is eager to continue their success and make the most of their new kit. Ramtech is excited to see the girls in action and looks forward to supporting them throughout the season as they strive for new achievements in the Notts Women’s Sunday League.
