Gunboat Project La Grande-Motte, France

Delivered by our French partner Prodomo, the project centred on the installation of the EN54-25 certified WES3 Wireless Fire Alarm system. The solution provided a fully integrated, site-wide fire detection and alert system tailored to the specific operational and regulatory requirements of a high-value marine facility.

A total of 96 smoke detectors were strategically positioned across the hangars, workshops and office spaces to provide rapid, early-stage fire detection throughout the facility. Eight link relay units were integrated to strengthen system communication and ensure reliable, seamless operation across all areas. In addition, 34 manual call points with integrated visual and audible alarm units were installed to deliver clear, immediate site-wide notification in the event of an emergency, supporting swift response and safe evacuation.

The WES3 Wireless Fire Alarm system was configured to provide complete coverage across both operational and customer-facing areas, eliminating the need for disruptive cabling works typically associated with traditional wired installations. The system was installed and fully commissioned within an active manufacturing environment in just a couple of days, ensuring uninterrupted production and minimal operational impact.

Installing a comprehensive fire alarm system within a live, high-value manufacturing environment required meticulous planning and coordination. Production schedules needed to continue uninterrupted, and partially completed vessels demanded disciplined working practices throughout the installation process. The solution also had to align with the premium presentation of the showroom environment.

Through close collaboration between Gunboat and Prodomo, the WES3 system was deployed in carefully managed phases to minimise disruption and integrate seamlessly into daily operations. Every device was commissioned and rigorously tested to ensure long-term reliability, rapid response capability and system resilience.
